TikTok is very much an outlet for information warfare and people don’t seem to realize that, most social media platforms already are being used for those purposes to spread pro-Russian propaganda in very subtle ways. Pro-Chinese misinformation can be fed directly to many minds who use TikTok and can be a long term danger.

TikTok is used in the west very differently to China - there's no infinite scrolling there and kids under a certain age aren't allowed to use it at certain times (and are served content like science experiments etc instead).
